Interesting stuff in there, they note that the intel os-x disc does not boot on a normal PC.
Another thing noted is that CodeWeavers, who make "Crossover Office" for *nix and support the WINE project announced they will be making an OS-X/intel version of their product. That means running Windows apps within Aqua - no virtual machine to start up. |

| reply to sporkme Can someone explain why PCs have green motherboards? Couldn't they make it some other colour, I know my ATI video card is red which sure looks better than green. I think the inside of PCs would look a lot better if the motherboard was a dark grey or even a dark blue. No wonder Apple wants these back after developers have finished with them they look ugly! |

How often do you really look at your motherboard that you care what color it is?
Also, Apple used to color code motherboards to symbolize what part of the development cycle they're in... I don't know if they do this anymore. -- Rest in Peace Hunter S Thompson."There he goes. I like details and pride in engineering, it's why I like OS X, it's why I like my PowerBook, and it's also the reason I drive a European Car. I like things that are built to an engineering goal not a price point. When I buy Apple I get a product that someone gave a shit about, the developer systems shown in the pics look the opposite. |

If you've ever seen a really cheap circuit board that is brown like the color of cardboard, that's one where no soldermask was used. Other colors are possible, as you've noticed. -- I thought that when I was an engineer, I would design missiles or TV sets or radios, things with dials, I had no idea computers were actually a job. My PC in a G5 looks great when the case is closed. No normal person gives a hoot what it looks like in there or what color anything is. |

All I can say is super FUGLY. Hopefully, when Apple makes their own MB's it'll look cooler. Does anyone know if they're gonna make their own? It's an assumption on my part, but probably a good one since they have to add their own chip to it. -- bobrk | The Blow Kings |
