| Only thing missing is
Only thing possibly missing is Windows XP x64 driver support in their PCI cards(Ethernet and Wireless). Most makers who aren't making x64 drivers are saying Oh we'll release them when there's a retail product, The Only problems with that is there will be No retail release as MS is afraid users will buy It and try and install It on an x32 system which It won't run on or install on as It wasn't designed for an x32 PC, As It will only install on x64 compatible Intel 955 chipset and compatible motherboards with an EMT64 64bit cpu installed(64 bit only) and any K8 cpu socket 754, 939 and 940 motherboard with a 64bit AMD64 cpu installed(64 bit only). 64bit is the future, 32bit is the past and 16bit/DOS is the Dead unsupported past according to MS. And No I'm not interested in Linux of any sort, So please don't ask why not just use Linux x64 instead? As I don't want to use It. x64 will run any 32bit Windows program, Provided It doesn't use a 16bit installation program or depend on 32bit drivers, x64 uses only 64bit drivers of course. -- Firefox forever! »zoom314.blogspot.com/ »mysite.verizon.net/zoom314/ |

| said by LinuxZealot :Why don't you like linux? It is much better than windows. Ok, Listen I have nothing against Linux outside of what I see as some flaws(Programs being installed incompletely; Program having to be started from the command line instead of X-Windows(I'd rather use MS DOS 5.0, yuck>:p); Installing drivers; unpacking programs and/or drivers and Not being able to shut down Linux and X-Windows from a Menu, Linux not installing shortcuts from Programs to that same Menu like Windows does; All that may be fine for those who love lots of typing, But proper tools can have a GUI too, Without them the OS has no real ease of Use and I've been using Computers for 26 years with Multiple OSes[Atari 8bit, Atari ST, Commodore Amiga, PCs, Emulated MAC(in hardware) w/Roms and system 8.x on the Amiga, Emulated PC also in hardware in an Amiga], All were easier to use to Me), But in any case I'd rather use Windows. Ok? Besides the Windows x64 Upgrade CD cost only $12.00(Shipping only, CD is free). -- Firefox forever! »zoom314.blogspot.com/ »mysite.verizon.net/zoom314/ |

| Sorry I must not have made this clear,
I like Windows XP Pro.:D
My programs run in It and so do My games(Commercial), Besides Linux is less popular than even Apples OSX(Based on Freebsd Unix), So I'll pass. And I'd rather not have to compile or recompile an OS kernel just to do an upgrade. -- Firefox forever! »zoom314.blogspot.com/ »mysite.verizon.net/zoom314/ |

| reply to zoom314 You can usually find properly functioning drivers on the website of the chipset manufacturer. I have a Linky EG1032 v2 and it uses the Marvell Yukon chipset. They have a page here: »marvell.com/products/pcconn/yukon/index.jsp Linksys has their own drivers here: »linksys.com/download/driver.asp?dlid=113 -- Posting .sig |

| Nice links, Both are most likely just 32bit Windows XP x32 drivers, Not 64bit Windows XP x64 drivers. 32bit drivers in Windows XP x64 are worthless and unusable. -- Firefox forever! »zoom314.blogspot.com/ »mysite.verizon.net/zoom314/ |
