Re: MBDA

You think it's worthless to those that have ZERO access to Broadband? Come on!

'As we dish out billions and billions to Iraq, Afganistan, Africa, the UN!'

Why complain about that money when we're burning it on worthless technology like BPL?

How is THAT irrelevant? The MBDA does not LOAN money out nor does the MEDC (Which the MBDA came out of). The loan is either from a finacial institution or investors.

I am a bit surprised at your concern over this "Possibly" being paid out of Taxpayer money...

As we dish out billions and billions to Iraq, Afganistan, Africa, the UN!

The MBDA is merely attempting to get Braodband available to areas that the Good Ole Bells and cable companies don't want to cover.

That's irrelevant. The loan money has to have a source. And someone has to cover it if defaulted upon.

I would be willing to bet that revenue that is generated from the consumers PAYING for the BPL will go towards paying the loan. Do I think it will be 100% FREE from Taxpayer cost? No, but what is?

Of course tax payers will pay the loan off in the end.
