300' is 'technically' Insights official longest length for drop cable. After that length they use feeder (hardline). If you truly have a dt/tap 320' from your electric meter on the side of your house RG-11 could be used. There is a possibility (a good possibility) that you would need a forward/return drop ampilifier installed in your house too. The charge for this amp should be under $100. I do not know much about the louisville system, but if you don't find any head way by talking to the install supervisor, and again, you know for sure that there is a tap to plug in to 320' from your electric meter at your house, you could by a spool of RG11, run it yourself, then call for the install. the $1200 would have to be a charge to run feeder to your house. You could probably get them to agree to running it on rg11, maybe w/ some sort of 'no guarantees' type deal. I dunno... good luck. |
