Re: Yes, let me tell everyone on my ATT vidphone..

The 90s, were full of forward thinking companies, AT$T, Bell Atlantic/NYNEX(For their Fiber plans). Hell if we still had Bell Atlantic I'd have DSL by now, maybe even FiOS. Buy outs and mergers screwed this up. Bell Atlantic is now Verizon, and they suck. AT&T, was bought by SBC. We're Fu*ked...

....you know, the one they said we'd all be using back in that early 90s commercial?
They've been promised longer than that, I saw one in 1964 at the worlds fair. Epcot has em too if memory serves.

True. What Nokia ignores is the time, money and will it would take to upgrade or build infrastructure to support such speeds. It will certainly be further than 2006.

I was just rambling about AT&T. It's a sour spot for me.

my point is I've been promised the moon many times in the past....but I still have no moon. I'll believe 14mbps when I actually use it.

In the meantime I can promise 100mbps over wireless....or any speeds for that matter.

If there was still AT&T as it was in the early 90's you would have had that by now. Alas, there isn't. What remains is a pathetic shadow of a company that once cared about its people and its customers, where technical excellence was once valued and executives knew what was going on because they were home-grown, not in some MBA idiot farm.
