Re: Kaspersky beta testing new web based AV scanner

Its been there for at least a month. Is it past version 1 yet? Version 1 was extremely slow. So slow, I gave up trying to test it.

Kaspersky beta testing new web based AV scanner

Kaspersky has a new web based AV scanner in beta test here:

They expect it to be like the other web based AV scanners that other vendors offer, free for the purposes of comparing the effectiveness of their product against other products.

They are looking for some feedback on it. Send feedback to: webscannerbeta@kaspersky.com

This is the first beta release of the web based, so avoid running it on a computer you depend on for work or school.

(This is not to be confused with their single-file web based file scanner here »www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus .)

Kaspersky is also beta testing a scanner for the Symbian OS.
