|  Extend my wireless network
I have a Netgear MR314 wireless broadband router hooked up at my friend house across the street so I can use his internet access. I purchased a Netgear ME102 wireless access point to put in my window at my house so I could connect to the wireless internet anywhere in my house instead of setting up shop right in the window with my laptop. The wireless access point said once it is configured it doesn't need to be connected to anything, just powered on and then expands the wireless connection area.
The problem with the Netgear ME102 is it is the UK version with the weird plug in. »www.toddmorrison.com/img/jun05/n···plug.jpg
I looked it up and those require more power to work. So I would have to buy a a piece to change the prongs to plug into my outlet and a transformer to give it more power.
Should I even bother doing that? Or just buy another access point? Or buy something totally different to accomplish what it is I am trying to do.
Any help would be great.
