| Re: New 6412 DVR
I just got the new 6412 Dvr with the double tuner... I has alot of new functions and it fixes the lower end problem as they are not grainy anymore (yahooo) and the dvr function has a season pass function so you can record the full season with one hit. |

| reply to Klownin3468 I also called insight here in Champaign and the CSR also told me third quarter. However, I wasn't too convinced that she knew what she was talking about. To the people that already have the 6412, how much better do the analog channels look on it compared to the 6208. I heard that one of the features on the 6412 was that it was supposed to have a better tuner to help those stations look better. Thanks |

| Hey Joe please post back when/If you ever get yours. I am going to start calling now and then as well. I am sorta hapy with the current PVR, it does what it is supposed to ok, but a DVR with one tuner is stupid, it makes no sense. Why did they ever make this? Any way share if you get it and I will if I do. |

| "will start selling them mid July"
Hopefully that was a bad choice of words.:) Renting them would hopefully be what was meant. As for getting to beta test the new unit. That is cool for you. It'd be nice if most Insight areas would have a few non employee beta testers. But for as many years as I've been saying this. I've yet to hear of any non employee's getting to test new technology being considered for deployment.
I'm hoping to find out this week if my local office has any of the new devices in stock. From the sound of things the new DVR box would be something new and fun to play with.
I'm not wanting to go "Google it" at the moment. What is the hard drive capacity with this newer model? Hopefully increased from the previous unit. My household always maxes out the current DVR box easily most weeks. -- Test Your Security Cable Diagnostics Iggyz Blog ZoneAlarm Help |

| reply to Klownin3468 I just hope they get them in before football season starts. My girlfriend and I might brawl when Monday Night Football and 24 are on simultaneously in HD. Though I guess thats not a bad problem to have . |

| reply to IGGY I think we spoke with someone at the Springfield, IL office tonight. The person stated they were expecting a shipment from Motorola. But that he didn't know when they would be coming in. He stated he was aware that some customers had already received the new DVR dual tuner cable box. So once again it's a case of the right hand not knowing what the left is doing. And yet another shining example of upper management and IT not letting those on the frontlines know what the game plan is. Great way to have customers upset and irate on the phone.
