1 edit | Dtierman,
My questions have been answered by George. Most of us were just wondering aloud, why there are many people over on the SBC forum bragging how they were re-rated to the lower price, while we couldn't. It appears that SBC have DSL Extreme under stringent rules, that they themselves don't have to follow. We don't think it's fair competition, but what can we do?

BS Most of the braggarts actually lied to get their re-rate. After investigating, I decided I couldn't do it honestly. The re-rate is given to customers who call SBC's retention department and claim that they are going to bail to another service. The only services I have to consider are Comcast and DSLX. I doubt that SBC retention would believe that DSLX offers a better deal; and, in all honesty, the only part of Comcast that is better is the speed. Since my current speed is adequate, and the Comcast price jumps to $56.95 per month after six months, I can't seriously claim that Comcast would win me over.
IMHO, SBC and their lying customers deserve each other. -- Norman ~A deam, dream, no dream ~Voices of the night go across the forest ~A dream, dream, no dream ~Good night my good child |
