| My DirecTV bill actually went down when they re-organized their rate structure a couple years ago. It looks like it's gone up by $2 since I left.
Cable is a good deal right now for me only because I'm into HDTV and DVR. $60+ per month for Digital Classic (which is what I consider to be roughly equivalent to DirecTV's $42 plan) is a total rip-off, I feel sorry for people who aren't into HD and DVR who aren't getting value out of that high price.
