Hey Captn..

My mom was raised in Chicago...and we in family say ruut beer
instead of rooht.

Midwest is different from Westcoast...East coast is sooo different.

I personally can only do English, but I can scratch my way through ASL, and a bit of German.

Cussing..tho...learned a lot of European cussing from gaming online.

GVD.

Hmmm, I did not go as far as most people here. Thought I did for a second there, fat chance...

I know only Russian fluently but I can't write as well as natives can.

Does Hypertext Preprocessor count as a language?

Folks, that is all for me. However, I am hoping to learn some German and Japanese.

Most of my neighbors are Mexican. They don't speak English at all, yet expect the "Anglos" to speak Spanish. I don't mind learning to speak Spanish. What annoys me the most is that they have all obtained a green card. That's Ok! with me too. However, it is my personal belief that if you wish to emigrate to the U.S. than you should at least be able to take a test on American History and recite the National anthem in English and not Spanish, just like every other immigrant that wishes to become an American citizen.

That is a requirement of citizenship. A green card is the first step towards that, and it takes about 5 years for citizenship to be processed. So they've got time to learn to satisfy the requirements.

I am not sure if I could recite the entire National Anthem in English - and I was born here!

In England during WW2 there was a government department that was looking for German spies. So, one of the tests was to "prove" that you are an English citizen by singing the anthem. However, if you knew the anthem it only showed to the department that you are more likely to be a spy, since they believed that a normal citizen would not know every word.
