Prepayers don't pay any tax, other than sales tax. (7.4% here)
Though the minutes are pricey enough that they likely cover the 14.85% that they say I should be paying.
In any case, landline taxes are still much, much higher based on percentage. I pay only 14.88 base for my home phone, but the taxes are 10.22, or 68.7%. Telcos, states, feds, there's plenty of blame to go around. |
