| reply to indy0365 A young guy, i am 27 (lol)
From what i saw you need a new drop wire outside because you are loosing to much and it had a few "little" faults in it, also a contractor is the one who installed your DVR and Digital I believe the DVR is off the 3.5 leg now. But i would highly recommend a new RG-6 drop and have them bury it under the driveway to shorten it up by about 150 ft |

| reply to indy0365 Ok, so I understand this: you ONLY have BB service and your drop essentially goes from the tap to your modem, correct?
IF this is the case, you may have a minor noise floor issue in your node. Allthough it's my understanding that they are very on top of the things in Indiana concerning leakage. Leakage being the cause of noise floor problems.
We had a situation here in Louisville where ONE customer had a leak so bad from their home that it caused a hump in the noise floor around the downstream modem carrier that intermittently affected all the modems in the node. |
