I'm having what seems a bizarre problem. I have a Dell Inspiron 9300 (XP, SP2, quite updated), just a few days old, with the Intel Wireless Pro 2915 adapter (driver ver. 9.0.0.61).
The most updated intel driver version is 9.0.1.21 (for both 2200bg and 2915abg), you can find it here: »https://secure.filesanywhere.com/xELinkM···9D%9D%A0

Thanks for this link, and the updated driver. I looked on the Intel web site first for a driver update, and encountered some fairly strong language about it being ill-advised (and unsupported) to use generic versions of an Intel network adapter driver not provided by the PC manufacturer. Is this driver update Dell-specific, or am I on my own if I try this?

I installed the 2915abg card (bought from Amazon) myself to replace the old b card. Have been using the 9.0.1.21 driver for about a week now, no problems so far.
In your case, I see no problems installing this driver, no harm can be done. You are on your own tho.
