If what you say is true, then why does the Canadian Government allow marijuana and marijuana extracts, both real and synthetic, for relief of neuropathic pain and pain associated with cancer? This is a huge step forward for people who suffer from dibilitating pain. For my pains, I'm prescribed a medication that has many nasty side effects, Fortunately, I'm a prime candidate for Sativex, a natural marijuana derivative that relieves pain and has fewer side effects. I'll find out how well this works when it comes out in a month. If anything, I think alcohol and tobacco should be illegal, but I know it'll never happen, soon. Too much revenue generated from their sales. Alcohol and tobacco have created more grief than marijuana ever will. BTW, presently I don't smoke pot, but I don't have any problems with people who do and yes, I *am* considering it. -- ::.. Grrr ..::My desktop... |

| Hmmm, seems to me you still don't have the facts straight. I am very suprised to see you post Lipitor on there. While it may have some bad side effects, the pro's out weigh the cons.
Same thing with weed. It should be legal, at this point most cops, will usually just tell you to smoke on your own property, unless your pushing.
It just seems that police are very laxed towards marijuana unless they believe you could be a dealer, as they should be.
From my own experience with police officers, they were once young too, and did crazy stuff as most minors. Smoking a joint hurts no one, speeding down a highway or murder are real crimes, and most officers realize that.
One experience comes to mind. A few friends and I were smoking in a park, and an officer pulls up and just asks us to leave the park and smoke on our own property. We followed as he requested. We hurt no one, and he was a thoughtful officer who understands we were out to hurt no one, just enjoy a good spliff. This is what many don't understand, but what can you do when for the last 3 generations we were brought up to think of pot, weed, chronic, mary J, green, cannabis, marijuana as a big evil that will corrupt the world. |
