The 33% rake hike imposed by Comcast (the one mentioned in the article) isn't regulated by anyone.
In some areas, the local franchise authority regulates prices for equipment and the minimum programming tier (sometimes known as "limited basic") for cable companies. But cable companies are free to charge whatever they choose for all other tiers. |
