I sent a note off to my friend at Insight asking him what was going on.... if I hear back, I'll post a reply.
Basically, I asked him why Insight was going after people having services set up for "personal (one person) use" and not for "others" like the AUP states.
TSG needs to go after the warez/movie traders and the people that are truly violating the TOS and not simple people that might have remote access/diagnostic solutions set up on their network.
Who knows what might happen if they start scanning for VNC servers, SSH, etc. I know quite a few people that run those for troubleshooting relatives' machines. |

I am talking about the PRIVATE class C HFC IP's (10.x.x.x non routable) not the PUBLIC 12.x.x.x...the HFC 10.x.x.x address's are for the HFC connection on your modem...
I now assume your post "(culprit was in 10.200.185.x)" was a typo and was meant to say "12.200.185.x"????? |

They have everything from 10.220.184.0 to 12.220.191.255. |

Now if you start black listing all of insight's IP's you may be hurting yourself...
Do you have the specific address's that you can share (PM if you dont want to post public) that you believe Insight was using to scan from (be it private class C's or from wherever) and maybe we can verify that source... |

I'm just going to deny them all in my firewall using specific rules. My firewall caught the scanning, so I'm just going to make sure it completely ignores these IPs...
