Broadband is a luxury.A nice one to have.

Broadband = "The term has come to be used for any kind of Internet connection with a download speed of more than 56 kbps, usually some kind of Digital Subscriber Line, e.g. ADSL"

If high speed internet disappeared off the face of the earth today it would make finding information and communication much slower but it would not be the end of the world. Example.- instead of downloading some porn you would have to get your lazy ass up and go to neighborhood video store. The shame!:o

Well now...considering how much society depends on the internet now, business, private and government, it would be the end of this world as we know it, going back to the old ways and getting information would be nearly impossible.

The old days had some things to recommend them, but they hadf many bad things too. The problem here is that the old ways have not been passed down from generation to generation and, therefore, would have to be invented again. This would be a royal nightmare, especially considering the current population density of mouths to feed/clothe/shelter.

Never mind the logistic nightmare of food distribution without computers and interlinking of same, among other things. It's never as simple as those who dont think first think
