[SuperDrive} Apple just released a SD update....

What's new in this version:
Updated SuperDrive firmware to improve reliability when accessing DVD and CD media.

Product Requirements:
Mac OS X 10.3.8 or later
- Power Mac G5 (June 2004)
- Power Mac G5 (Late 2004)
- eMac (USB 2.0)

Not All G5 machines are affected...

Do updates typically show up on VersionTracker before they show up on the Apple Support site? I don't see it at Apple at all.

My thoughts are that if your machine needs the update...then SU will show it...some peeps are saying that if it isn't for your machine....then it will tell you...if you try to install anyway.

As I suspected....all I'm getting is the GarageBand Update....no SD update. My machine at work and home are outside of the build window.

 Now if they would only do this for the Mac mini. P0S superdrive burns nearly all dvd/cd media below their rated capacity.
