| DI-624 or DI-784
Hello guys,
I have been using a DI-624 with my roommates so far and i'm happy with it in terms, range, security and reliability (since the reboot is fixed).
I'm considering to buy myself a router and i'm hesitating between the DI-624 for C$89.99 and a DI-784 for C$99.99.
I have read that the DI-784 had really a poorer range than the DI-624 and also some say the antenna of the DI-784 is no detachable so no possibility to use a more powerfull antenna...
I would really appreciate if you could give me some useful insights about what you would advise me to choose. From what i understand the DI 784 is more advanced being duabl band and able to functino at "A" instead of only B or G . But is it really usefull, what is better with "A" or with 5Ghz instead of 2.4
Thanks a lot for your time.
All the best

Keep in mind that the best performance of either 802.11a or g is achieved when you do not mix the two modes on the same access point. |

My main concern is about the antenna if it is detachable or not. I did a research here about the Di 784 but it seems not much people have that router.... |
