I had it for over a year and it never went out. It is VOIP because when a plugged in my VOIP enabled Cisco Ubr924 cable modem it detected VOIP on the network. The box on the outside of the house is just a cable modem with a VOIP ata converter inside running off the power insight is running down the lines now (90 volts I think) The only reason I got rid of the service was I never used my landline. So I got packet8 for a landline $19.99 ($20.55 when its all said and done) unlimited long distance. I would recommend Insight phone to anyone that isn't ready to switch Vonage or Packet8. |
