OK...now that we have found the correct location...!

It looks like you are good to go to both the Riverdale and Big Hill sites, if you wish.

While the Baker West site is great, this site is powered and certainly more accessable.

I guess, upon reflection, that I wish that the link distances were not as long as they are...18-20 miles. That is certainly stretching things a bit.

I took a look at the hills near Haines, but their particular layout seems to block the other paths...either to North Powder, or to Medical Springs.

I'll keep looking...

I took a look at all the natural terrain features that might be of use in the area between Baker and the Riverdale site.

No matter which one is selected, regardless of the level of vehicle access, each of those sites presents a problem in terms of path to the other sites.

So, I guess that it is necessary to use these longs paths: Baker West to Riverdale Hill, and Baker West to Big Hill. In some respects that is better, since they share the same elevations and that is good since it addresses somewhat the point made by froggy58 about ducting and scatter. The longer any link is the more it will be affected by these things...at least when you have the same elevations you are not cutting through as many different layers as a high-low shot.

The problem with long links is the timing issues. Maybe someone can comment on what type of gear allows for the adjustment of the timing...

You're also looking at 2 foot dish/grid antennas for these sites, which shouldn't be a problem, at least as far as aesthetics is concerned.

Look at Star OS, as it alows for timing and distance issues.:)

Just talked to the Guy about the West Hills with towers and he wants to work out something with me. There is already a Cell site up there. Should I be worried about to much noise?

I have a meeting with him Monday. It already has power and everything and I can put My own 10' to 20' tower/mast up if I want. He said he would work out something for me. Not charge me anything until I get subscribers. I'm so pumped.
I will have the exact coordinates Monday and all info.
John, The site will be the Highest point on the west hills. Been looking at it today and it is the highest point.

I'm taking my Dell Axim X30 with wifofofum and Retina® WiFi to do some site surveying and to take some pictures of the terrain etc. Any more idea's before I take off soon.

Get an agreement signed up front. Leave nothing open ended. If he wants to bill you later, fine. Sign a contract stating when the billing starts and how much.

Try to offer free service for him in xchange for the site.
