All well and good but maybe they should concentrate on keeping their name servers for Boston, Cambridge and Somerville working. Everyone I know has had to switch to Speakeasy since the Verizon DNS servers time-out 75% of the time. |

Why would Verizon not fix this? Have enough people complained? |

| reply to Stryder314 I have had Verizon DSL for about a year or so now. Up until lately, I haven't had any complaints about the service but lately it seems internet lookups are very slow. I suspected some DNS issue as sites that used to load very quickly are now taking a loooonnnnnggggggg time to load. Like Boston.com for instance. I notice as the home page tries to load that in the status bar, many site addresses which are not related to Boston.com come and go. Then, finally the page loads. Since I have made no changes and my system has plenty of RAM and the cache is clean, I know it is an issue with Verizon's network. What is "Speakeasy"? And, how do I make use of it? |
