transparency is a _requirement_. it builds trust.
if i want to create anything that relies on external relationships (with Comcast, my significant other, my friend, any entity) i need to establish trust.
transparency not only builds trust, it also maintains it. additionally, transparency is a simple mechanism to insure that you are fullfilling your commitments (assuming fullfilling your commitments is your intention).
here's a book with a related title that i plan on reading:
The Naked Corporation : How the Age of Transparency Will Revolutionize Business »www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de···43246500

It's all empty words and pie in the sky promises. No white collar corporate CEO criminal would ever think of implementing transparency b/c it would depreciate his ability to screw over the s/h and the employees who are in many cases one and the same entities. In case you live in a fantasyland where business does the "right" thing by its customers/employees see also Enron et al. Last time I checked Ken Lay was still free to enjoy the millions he fleeced from employees retirement funds. -- MFSO.org -ArnoldWatch.org - opensecrets.org -DigitalConsumer.org - FTCR.org - Privacy.org - Adbusters.org - Eff.com - Democraticmedia.org - HealthPrivacy.org - Hacktivismo.com - ClearChannelSucks.org - Epic.org |

thanks for letting me know what you read. what i'd like you to read is that it's not my intention to change any entity. however, what i have done done and what i will continue to do is to choose relationships with entities that are transparent. if this leads to the demise of non-transparent entities that will simply be a side effect. |
