Re: [Speeds] Neighborhood Maxed Out

Im in Bloomington, IN and Im getting basically the same problem. During peak hours, my download time drops to around 1200kbs, when its normally 3200kbs. This has just started happening over the last few weeks. Before that, peak hours were fine. Any suggestions?

Just as an update, I called insight tech support to see if anyone else had reported slow downs in my area. The guy did some test and said he could see it was extremely slow right now (11:13pm) and that the local branch was aware of this issue. Apparently tonight/tomorrow morning at 4:00am they taking the system down and swapping out and upgrading their routers in the area. I believe it has been mentioned before that Insight is performing this change in some locations. Anyway, hopefully tomorrow after this, it will be back to normal.

That's exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for here. If you can, let me know what kind of speeds you're getting tomorrow around 8 PM. My local office needs to do the same!

Its 9:46pm central time (Bloomington, IN) and I just ran a speed test. My speeds are still about normal (3000kb)which is a good thing. It will be interesting to see if they hold up around 11:00pm which is usually the time I have been getting real slow connections lately.

I've started having the same problems here in Greenwood, IN during peak hours. Late night 2 or 3 in the morning I get blazing 3700+ down, when the problems occur it can take 5 minutes for a simple webpage to load.

I am 100% sure it is not on my end.

I called "afterhours" tech, they said I needed to call bloomington during office hours. I'll try to call them tomorrow and see what run around they give me.
