Just do what Galesburg did and have the city propose to build their own cable broadband system. Then they will get right on it.

LOL! That seems to have worked for Springfield. When our city owned utility company looked into providing tv and internet over it's fiber loop, suddenly both SBC and Insight are being very nice to us.

Insight's actually pretty good. Far better than AT&T and TCI before them. If they're saying they're working on it I'd bet they get broadband to Macomb pretty soon. They don't usually even admit to it unless they are close. Best of luck!
