You have a point -- but I am allowed: I was born and raised in Philadelphia and still live within the "Philadelphia" area.
My point is that Philly has been on a downward spiral [even the city has been very dirty as of late]. There are no good jobs in the area. If there are no jobs, who can afford to live if they can't afford computers? If they can't afford computers, then how can they afford internet access?
Getting a wireless connection then means absolutely nothing to the average Philadelphian. I am sure most would prefer something better and more meaningful as a city resident. |

| Philly and the burbs are getting back on their feet. The new tower for Comcast is a good start. The Philly area was too heavily invested into the dot bomb thing but we are shaking it off. I just landed a dream IT job in the city so there is work to be found.
We need a new Mayor who isn't so spend crazy. Rendell did one hell of a job as Mayor and the city was doing just fine. Philly is coming back. Smack dab between NYC and DC and much more affordable. We just need to do something about the Skookil Distressway. This is one more knowledge is power issues. I for one think it's fantastic for all the residents of Philadelphia. |
