Time for a new picture!

Not that the nation's capitol in the snow isn't a beautiful sight but I think it's time to change the forum picture to something more "spring-ey" or colorful. I wouldn't mind seeing the cherry blossoms up there.

Suggestions?
Here are my suggestions for a new pic. Choose one:

- Crowd of people trying to get on/off metro all at the same time.
- Traffic jam on the Beltway.
- Mayor-For-Life Marion Barry.
- Washington Mall filled with protestors du jour.
- Cover of the Plum Book.
- Desk stacked with Federal Budget books.
- Lobbyists at $10,000-plate breakfast benefit.

I could go on but you get the idea.

Hopefully the cherry blossoms will hold up until I can get up there to take some pictures on April 9th.

rtcpenguin See Profile was that shot taken in the past few days or last year? Trying to keep track when the best time to go will be.

It was taken at least a year ago.

Following their statements, Rob DeFeo, Chief Horticulturist of the National Park Service, announced this year’s blooming prediction. Based upon the stage that the trees are in now, he predicted that the blooming period will be APRIL 4 - APRIL 9.

I'm partial to the steamed crab picture from a while ago. But I really like the pic that rtcpenguin posted.

You're just setting yourself up for a let-down anyway. The nationals aren't going to be around in 5 years.

Took a while to learn and do (still not easy for me)
Picture must be max of 200x140 and .jpg

Whoever identifies where the picture is from gets to choose the next one.
(Decided to find something in our area that wasn't Baltimore or Washington specific)

Nope . . .

My first thought was Tilghman Island but then realized that it was to remote to be identified with Baltimore/Washington area.

Shoulda gone with your first thought, but that would have not been right either.
While forum says Baltimore/Washington, people have posted from Frederick to Cambridge and beyond, Abingdon to Annapolis and not sure how far down into Virginia, so I got out of the city corridor, and you headed in the right direction fast.
