i bought a packeteer with 10mb shaping and have never looked back. its a nice box and you pay for it, but works very well. |

| Mikrotik can block or limit p2p for much less. That is as far as I have gotten with it, but I think it can do much more sophisticated shaping.
Since my towers were damaged by a storm Friday, I have had to shelve this project for now.

Mikrotik can throttle most P2P traffic and block others. It does deep packet inspection so it cannot be worked around by your subscribers. It is, however, a steep learning curve for most. |
