Pretty nice article about the suggestion made by kids to have the sox and yankees shake hands before their games.
It would be purely cosmetic, but a nice gesture nonetheless.

Shaking hands meant something to me. I am sure it meant something to many of the other players as well.
Even if its an old "custom", its still nice.

| Re: boston kids suggest sox, yanks shake hands That's true, but the fact that they want to make them shake hands just because it is a rivalry doesn't seem like a good enough reason. It makes sense in hockey because it is a tradition, but there is little reason to implement it into baseball now.
