I haven't updated my layout since I moved to a new house in WV. We built it and left the basement unfinished so we could do it ourselves. Working on the TV room first and then the game room. My room is last but I've got most of the walls up and the floor done. No door as of yet but I'll eventually build some Shoji doors to complement the eventual Asian theme of the room. Haven't decided on dark green or red for the walls yet.

I've got ethernet wired throughout the house including the girl's rooms for their computers.

Here's the link for the layout: »brian.thegrahamdesign.com/muppet···opia.png

I'm loving my Samsung 710T, 12ms response time...

Grey box is stock Dell 4100 but upgraded with 1GB RAM and a 256MB 6800GT. To the right is my file server (160GB RAID1) and below is my little app/game server (runs Counter-Strike:Source, Half-Life2:MP, Star Wars: Battlefront and Battlefield: Vietnam at our LAN parties). The SFF is nicely portable.

And below is my MX1000 Cordless Laser Mouse, fantastic accuracy in gaming.

Last bit from my room. Just my media shelf (up high to keep little hands off my movies) and library.

Eventually I'll build a wall unit to incorporate all my computers and books and such. But that's some time out.

I apologize for some of the mess. It's still a work in progress, not to mention I was just laid off on the 4th so I have a lot of "office" stuff boxed up and at home now. Plus some old electronics, some fans I need to put up in other rooms...

Here's what the room will eventually look like: »brian.thegrahamdesign.com/muppet···n-ma.png

And here's the list of computers, not all of which I have back up and running yet nor in my room: »/metashare/b5ca26 There are two boxes at the top floor (one for each of my girls) and one in the study for my wife, where the DSL modem and Linksys router is incidentally. I'll take some more pics up there when I get the chance.

Oh, and here's what my area looked like before we moved from Frederick MD last May: »Muppetopia (home network)

Hey, I used to ride the Brunswick line MARC train from the Point of Rocks stop until I moved in May, then I took the bus from Hagerstown. Brunswick is a nice town though, we just couldn't afford to build anywhere in MD, too frigging expensive...

I'm sure it'll look great when you're done. I'd suggest red, only because i have a fondness for walls painted the color. They give so much vibrance to a room.

that looks like a compaq SP750 is it? I have one too. Nice system, but needs more hard drive cages.

Yeah I'm leaning toward that really dark Asian red, but I'm wondering how relaxed it will make me feel... But then again, how relaxed do I want to be playing CS?

Yep it's a SP750, nice workstation to convert into a server but it has a few issues. I can't get the second processor slot to work for one. But I did get three 20GB IDE drives set up in RAID5 along with the 9GB SCSI drive. It's running Red Hat 7.3 right now, as a web/app/game server.

The Compaq SFF I got off Ebay, it was pretty scratched up so I gave it a face lift, nice shiny metallic blue now. It's my combo workstation/game server.

The black bookshelf is pretty old, I think I got it at Target.

Geek sticker courtesy of ThinkGeek.com - along with much of my geeky paraphernalia.

Thanks for the comments!

I've been getting Despair calendars for about 4 years now. They rock.
