For example, I love Roller Coasters. Do you think I want pop-ups every 5 seconds on every coaster in the world?
If I want to look for something, there are search engines out there for me to use, WHEN I AM READY TO.
Its one thing to market something, and be able to help people find what they are looking for. The problem I have is that unless I go to google, altavista, webcrawler, etc, then I am NOT LOOKING for anything, so why shove ads in my face?
That is why in my book they will always be (as others have said) "Spyware".
The only way I would use them as a service is if they had a webpage I could go (say 180solutions.com), and then allowed me to do a search for products. Nothing installed on the client PC. Just a search engine like the others out there.
If that never happens, then they belong in the same group as the sludge at the bottom of the Hudson River. -- ============================ --Brian Plencner E-Mail: saursesCancer@comcast.net Note: Kill Cancer to Reply via e-mail |
