What about the 100%(or better) "How dare you not have an active phone line" penalty that most if not all telcos have. $20 a month DSL through SBC seems nice, but then I would have to have an active phone line which is $45, so that makes it as expensive as Comcast's 6Mbps/768Kbps without tv service.

oliphant I Have 8 Boobies Premium join:2004-11-26 Corona, CA 1 edit	Most people "need" a POTS line anyway...this in comparison to millions of DBS customers who are affected by the HSI penalties. And for us former ATTBi customers...this penalty from Comcast was a new thing that blindsided us. Now of course I would agree with you...there are significant numbers of people who are cellular only or are cellular and VoIP...but I'm guessing those numbers don't compare to the number of DBS customers that the CC HSI penalties affect. -- Don't get it, demand it!
