One of the benefits of DSL is that it can be significantly cheaper than cable. Raising the rates won't help Verizon get more customers, especially those migrating from dialup. |

| Damn right, for what, about 4 dollars more a month i can tripple my speed with cable? Screw DSL at that price. I want govt regulation back. What i'd really like is a summer boycot of services to encourage lowering prices so we dont pay out the rear for them. |

It's not all cut and dry. Many get DSL because 99% of the time, you can actually use the connection.
Comcast was sending out abuse letters before the upgrade, imagine now, with even more nodes being overloaded.
