BBR left out a rather important bit of info in their headline:
Gov. Jim Doyle wants you to pay Wisconsin's 5% sales tax whenever you pay to download a song, book, movie or piece of art.
Notice the "pay to download" part? Changes the tone a bit, eh?
Still a retarded law though... |

Piece of what? Haha! I'm going...I'm going...
(Ugh...here goes the wild BBR behavior again. It's causing me to have problems posting. Please pardon me. Wish this crap would stop.) |

We already have that in Texas, at least for iTunes. Whenever I purchase a track from their Music Store, they add my State's Sales Tax (8.25%) onto each download. I haven't seen it anywhere else, though. -- "Kayura or Badamon, whichever you are, you should know that I will never give up this battle. You aren't buying anything. Maybe leasing the tune while you're a member, but probably not buying. If not iTunes, then one of the other services TOS/EULA says that when you quit you no longer have rights to play or keep the song.
Hell, at least call it a usage tag instead. OR what it really is: money grubbing government lackey who probably exempts himself from the tax tax. -- Six of one, 1,426/2,852 dozen of the other. |

Itunes lets you keep the music you download forever (although it has a bit of DRM restrictions). There is no subscription involved with Itunes. |
