Anybody else slow in Decatur?

It seems that about all I can muster out of my connection the last few days is about 2Mbps. Upload to the mail servers seem about right (256K).

I use to see 4Mbps. Is it my setup, my node, or a system problem? I am on Riverview.

Thanks!

Where are you testing to? Are you using the test here at dslreports...if so, with all the problems that have occured the last few days, perhaps trying a "real" world test would show better results.

Hehe, one of the speed test sites only gave me 700k, and I knew that wasn't right.

I had two large file d/l going at once from what have been decent sites. Each one alone did about 2Mbps, and having more than one d/l going didn't really help.

I started a new threads
»I recently complained about slow speed in Decatur and »[Cable] Half my available d/l speed

Basically I found out my problem was due to updating to the latest Zone Alarm. Apparently some people have problems with a the upgrade and others do not. Best I can find is to uninstall ZA, and go back to version 4.5.
