And it's cheaper! (at least in my area)
Here you can get 3000/768 DSL for $44, and 3000/256 Cable for $50. Most people are going to choose the cheaper option.
And if you want, you can get a package that's less than $30 a month, if you don't need all the speed. Cable doesn't have this option.
The only downfall is, people have to be fairly close to the CO to get 3000/768.

Pittsburgh, PA | There are only so many people with in 18,000 ft of a CO. How will DSL achive those numbers? Its not like Verizon in rolling out RTs at a fast rate. Verizon, ugh |

| Yah, luckily, I'm within 7K feet of the CO.
I think Verizon has mostly put a stop to any DSL expansion, for now, and are only concentrating on FIOS.

And as soon at the local telco start upgrading the pedastals in the neighborhoods for dsl2, then were going to see a much larger increase in DSL subscription. |
