You misunderstood....
Vonage needs the "real number", the dispatch agency/company has to give vonage the "real number" or they can't set their part of the 911 system up. This isn't a customer issue.
When our dispatch center went to E911 and cell phones started to get used more wide spread, some of the cell carriers here had to struggle to get the "real number" to 911 given to them so they could setup their 911 service so until they received that magic number, all the cell phone calls were routed to the state patrol dispatch 100 miles away and they patched the call to the county dispatch. -- Location: N48°05.3' W119°48.5' |

| Ah, guess I misunderstood. I thought you were implying that it was the Vonage user's fault for not tatooing the local emergency number to their forehead, and believing that 9-1-1 would be working when they would need it.  |
