Price must be right

If the price is right for wimax equipment then we may just get independent ISP competition again, which is good for the consumer. If not we continue consolidation to the bells.

I think the community based either nonprofits or co-ops such as »wirefreevan.com/phpBB2/index.php have the most to gain from WiMax taking off, right now, either WiMax or 802.11x are strong options for a community network, it is simply a matter of will the equipment be out, and affordable enough for deployment. That is the question.
