The links to the Illinois election data are a little odd. I find you get a 404 at first, but the info comes up if you then refresh.

State of Illinois servers what do you expect? And they are probably running on a great SBC connection.:) Actually they may be using fiber themselves. If they are located in the city of Springfield ( the state capital ). Our city has tons of fiber running around for city and state use. About a mile or half mile around the corner from my home. We have an intersection where they used this fiber to light up turn lanes for one of our busiest intersections. But do you think they will provide me with broadband? Nope. They want their yearly fees they get from Insight Communications and SBC. The study they did a few years ago. Stated that it would be to expensive to start a city provided broadband initiative. Our new mayor doesn't even seem to care or have a clue about the subject honestly. Probably because his home is hooked to the city fiber network. lol.
