| I like the LGVX8000 phone, but to watch TV?
I recently purchased the LGVX7000 because I liked the features and the mobile web 2.0. A week after I purchased it the news of the new LGVX8000 was released so I returned the 7000 in anticipation of buying the 8000. The phone should be in the Verizon stores this week along with the new VCAST service. I still want to buy the phone, but have my doubts about VCAST. You will have to use headphones to listen to the video or use the crummy speaker phone. The cost of $15 is too much, even though it includes unlimited air time. You can use the service for 2 months free, which I may try when I buy the phone. I really think this VCAST launch is to sell more phones. None of the phones available before today are compatible. If this turns out to be popular, that is quite a lot of new phone sales. Rick |

You dont need to use the headphones in order to listen to the vcast streams. I belive that the phone has stereo speakers. I'll probably post a video of how everything is later tonight in the cellphone forum after I get home from work (12am EST) -- At first I thought everyone on the highway was drunk but then I realized I was driving in Florida |

Unlimited air time? Unlikely. it better be unlimited since its a media service and they should be expecting heavy usage by people. too bad its not avalible here yet and im sure it wont be until 2010, oh well ill just go pick up the vx7000. -- ....I'm probably in my underwear typing this......or maybe not! |
