Last time I checked FIOS was an internet service. Since you obviously are talking about something else, maybe you can explain to us about them folks in Keller texas and other area's that are getting FIOS. Apparently as far as your concerned it's not there , wow Verizon really has people fooled.
Because you or people you know can't get the service means jack.
BTW Verizon offers tv over the fiber also. -- "It's always funny until someone gets hurt......and then it's absolutely friggin' hysterical!" |

| reply to BosstonesOwn That's nice, but what the hell can I use it for?
I've got customers in areas that are exclusively FTTH and guess what? No broadband from the telco! There is currently NO AVAILABLE CONSUMER BROADBAND INTERNET offered by Verizon for FTTH customers.
So WHAT IS THE POINT? FTTH gives the customer NOTHING. Telcos don't offer any consumer services over FTTH other than voice. The people living in these areas would have been better off if Verizon had run a single pair of copper to their house, for all the good fiber-optic is doing them. So instead of wonderful Internet via f-o, these customers have to go with Cable Internet.
Ooo! But my local phone calls are crystal clear! |

| reply to Transmaster Well verizon is a telco and is rolling out fiber like a champ. Maybe you should take the word telco out and basically say the companies names who are not rolling it. -- "It's always funny until someone gets hurt......and then it's absolutely friggin' hysterical!" |
