Yes, I can remember being moist with anticipation over my new 56k modem many years ago...someday cable modems will be its equivalent. But these numbers must be regional estimates, maybe for a country in Europe. I don't see this sort of rollout by 2010 in the US.

We will never see fiber. SBC doesn't even try on getting DSL to our home. We are using a 32.6 Kb dial-up for now. |
