2x2Mbps

We have a Road Runner Biz Class connection at work that is 2Mbps x 2Mbps and man, it is sweet.

I have RR at home, 5Mbps/384Kbps and it's almost painful when I need to grab a file off my home machine.

When I am home and need to grab a file off our Biz Class connection though, man it's sweet.

I had RR Premium for a while, but even that paltry 512Kbps upload wasn't worth it.

I'd personally like to see a 1Mbps upload, but I'm not holding my breath.

Move to Canada into Shaw Cable Territory and you'll be geting 5m down adn 1mb up. Let's not forget that shaw is gonna be upping it to 7mb some time in the next year!! I just hope they up the upload to 2mb and up the bandwidth limit to 100 GB from 50. Sorry I like to brag to Americans, ehehehehehe XD

Broadband in Canada has been very competitive for a while (I have 4800/800 cable at school and 5500/600 cable at home, both only 45 CDN$ a month) but over the past year it seems like the average broadband in america is starting to pick up the pace with upgrades to service speeds. I'm sure they'll be level with canada soon enough.

Actually we are flying off to 7mb cable and 8mb dsl shortly.... now let's see how long it takes for the U.S.A. catch up to that. I certainly hope you catch up fast because the internet will be a bit more faster and the bottle neck will reduce a little.

I'm throwing the idea around in my head trying grasp the math...but logically in reason it would seem the faster a connection is the less of a burden it is on the infrastructure of the internet because the less time it spends obtaining data. (However this can be negated by bandwidth HOGS..)

:/
