Re: Browser Helper Object .. System32\ggng.dll

OK so I was able to remove the entry via regedit.

I got this friendly Helper Object installed and none of the programs I tried were able to remove it properly.

I used ad-aware, spybot search & destroy, cwshredder, spysubtract but to no avail.

Apparently this thing loads into your browser under Tools-->Internet Options-->Programs-->Manage Add-ons as a Helper Object, and points to ggng.dll file in the System32 directory.

I did a search earlier for recently "modified" files on my system and found the ggng.dll file had been modified yesterday. I renamed it to ggngOLD.dll and later by chance noticed it in the Helper Ojbect list. Not sure why I was looking there but I was running out of options.

Anyway, now that I know what the problem is I wonder if there is a way to do more than just Disable the Helper Object. I'd like to entirely remove it from IE.

Does anyone know how to get rid of these entries in the Helper Object lists?

Thanks
