dual 8VSB tuners, dual 8PSK tuners, a 250GB HD, DSL modem, 8002.11G wi-fi.
the mediaportal sounds a little leaner, but damn that thing sounds prohibitively expensive.(think directv's HDtivo, with a DVD player, a dsl modem, a wi-fi bolted on) -- disclaimer: my opinions are my own, my employer is not responsible. |

| reply to odog I have SBC DSL (3mbup/512kbdown for $35 a month), and the 2wire modem that SBC offered.
I know when I was able to get this great 2wire ethernet/usb/wireless modem that has a great interface and is easy to use (The 1000sw) It was a $150 modem and SBC made it $50. So it may be espensive, but I see SBC offer great deals on equipment, unlike COX Cable, who either rents you a box for a monthly fee or makes you go buy your own here.
I'm excited and am ready to switch to SBC. They take care of their customers pretty good. |

| yah they may take care of their customers at first but wait until you see the price tag on that little machine
2Wire products are SH*T. they work when they want to IF they work at all. no vent holes like they should have to cool down with, no fans, and always have something wrong and you may get and updated firmware every 8 years from 2Wire if you're lucky.
Linksys or DLink products are much better than an overpriced box from SBC/2Wire. |
