10,000 Contributors?

Did these people "pay" to have their names contributed, or just to be listed??

If they paid, then that is quite sad. What with AIDS, cancers, famine, civil strife, and all other maladies affecting mankind, it is quite sad people have contributed towards an ad touting a web browser of all things, when there are more important concerns to be worried about! Shame.

Okay so people can't contribute to new businesses? It's not like these people aren't giving to other worthy charities. You talk like people in America can only pick one cause to put money down on.

Some things you can throw money at till you die, and it makes no difference. Some people believe in supporting a cause like Firefox, so therefor they throw money at it. If you can convince them to believe that throwing money at AIDs, or some other research will be life fulfilling to them, and might change the world, then you might have yourself a case.

Yet you paid for a "Premium" account...what a waste of money when there are more important things to consider...

Whats wrong with you?

He expressed his opinion, which as it turns out, is a valid point... and you come in here guns blazing and flaming like a 5 year old...

You need to be smacked upside the head!

A little respect will go a long way.

Yeah, but we'll always have misery in some form or another in the world. If we waited until all those problems are solved before we did anything else, we'd never have any fun.

Hmmmm I thought Firefox was supposed to be open source and belong to the community.

Thus the key word "contribute". How many community services out there do you know that don't accept contributions? Things gotta get paid for somehow. This time it was for advertising.
