Re: Slow

hah, i said it and its happening, bellsouth once again dosent give the customer what they want to try to get as much money as they can with providing as little service as they can...

oh well at least its faster than 1.5/3mbits... but still complete crap upload speeds... 512kb? 768kb? please...

also why invest all this money in ADSL2 equipment when they could be investing that into their fiber deployments?

more patches on the customers leaking to cable internet access that is cheaper, quite franky faster, and *usually* (depending on ISP) just as reliable... of course YMMV by area and such, but still....

lol... I agree. I am using 6mbits/608k adsl service right now. ADSL2 has to be at least 10mbits.

because they can reach many many more customers with the plant they have now, not with the plant that they don't have or may have in the future.

Invest in fiber like Verizon? I'm a verizon customer and Verizon hasn't botherd to roll out the DSL yet. It looks like I'll have to wait untill I can Get FIOS....20 years down the road! Bellsouths deployment of ADSL2 will give them a bigger and faster return on their investment.
