They have spent all their money on ATT wireless. They don't care about landline crap. Lightspeed is one big lie. They will hand pick the areas to serve and everybody else will have to go elsewhere.....I just don't believe in SBC until they offer me these services. |

The point being made is that there is absolutely no reason why many of out large cities can not have networks like those countries do. The fact remains that companies here in the US are greedy and don't want to spend any money. Take SBC for example with "Project Suckspeed", while Verizon is taking the initiative to run the fiber to the home where it is useful and not to the local node where we are still stuck with useless crappy copper. |

We need more infrastructure in one state than they need in an entire country! Amen! Every time I see one of these I post that and someone always fires something at me. Infrastructure is the key, it would take more for one state than any of those other countries. Plain and simple.
Now my area will probably be one of the last areas to see this. My CO wasn't enabled with DSL until September of last year.
