Mr anon

I didn't look

I admit that I haven't looked into this and I'm too lazy right now. Does this mean we will get one free report each year or can we can a few free per year?

Obviously the effects of too much turkey last Thursday.

Check out the details from the FTC themselves: »www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/cre···orts.htm

Too lazy to read all through it? "You may order your reports from each of the three nationwide consumer reporting companies at the same time, or you can order from only one or two. The law allows you to order one free copy from each of the nationwide consumer reporting companies every 12 months."

Edited: Could have sworn I replied to Mr Anon. Whatever, the details are at FTC.

Re: I didn't look

Ahhh Thanks for the info, I wonder if the companies are going to stick directly to the rule or allow us to look onine for free as we like and printed once per year as requred.

I'm guessing no as they get money for credit checks by companies, individuals, when buying a house, car, appartments sometimes etc etc. Oh *Puts on tin foil hat* They don't want you to find complain and fix your credit, its more work for them and less money to the credit companies. Debt is good.

I'm done.

Most likely it costs them money to get an updated report displayed (they of course have to keep a history of what you have viewed for compliance reasons which equals db storage space).
